Diamonds on teeth
A novelty in dentistry has been set on the surface of tooth enamel jewelry made of precious metals, artificial (skaysy, crystals), and natural stones. These miniature dental jewelry specifically designed for dentistry, and their dimensions are up to 16 mm2, depending on the type and form.

The surface of the tooth jewelry in contact with the tooth treated by the technology provides a solid and long-term fixation, and the stones have a special facet. All dental ornaments are toxicological tests and are allowed to use only with the permission of health authorities.

Basically use the following types of dental jewelry:

• Gold Jewelry Production “Stildent” (Moscow)

• miniature jewelry Twinkles (Sweden) (from precious metals, with inserts of 0,01-0,02 carat stones, crystals Swarowski)

• Rhinestones German-Swiss firm Ivoclar / Vivadent (skaysy).

The installation procedure of dental jewelry lasts only 10-20 minutes and that is probably most important, it is absolutely safe for tooth enamel and the enamel is the handling of a special gel, and composite light seal adhesive application system, applying a light composite set decoration, the final composite light seal and finish polishing the surface tooth around the jewelry. Before installing the dental decoration, the dentist assessed the level of dental hygiene and, if necessary, provides professional dental cleaning.

Tooth jewelry sometimes play not only an aesthetic role. Decorations can be set so as to conceal the damaged enamel, pigmented (ie, is a protective mask for damaged parts of the enamel), as well as in the composite light seal.

If necessary, the decoration can be easily removed without causing any harm to tooth enamel. Tooth Jewelry retained on the tooth 6 months, and sometimes much longer.

After installation of dental jewelry is very important to follow the simple rules:

• Regular cleaning (including vocational) tooth and meticulous oral hygiene;
• Since the gold eventually loses its original luster, it is recommended that professional polish gold tooth jewelry 1 time in 2-3 months.

At the request of patients dental ornaments are selected and set to fit the shape of teeth, smiles, aesthetic person. Numerous observations have shown that the installation of decorations improves the hygienic state of the teeth, as well as increased motivation to maintain oral hygiene at the proper level.

With the help of dental jewelry can be effectively emphasize the care of his appearance and his individual style.

Overall I would say that most of my patient’s have had some muarese of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don’t cost that much more ($ 60.00 vs $ 30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don’t use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). The strips are probably your best low price alternative, much less than in office whitening or custom trays (about $ 500.00). Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again.Good luck!JAMRDH a dental hygienist

Excellent Show. Gary Takacs is an excellent pronessiofal speaker with incredible enthusiasm and practical insight. He is extremely articulate and knowledgeable and always a pleasure to listen to. I love the story of Life Smiles. It is a conservative story of a humble, well thought out start followed by hard work and success. That is greatly repected and appreciated. Gary Takacs as a dental coach owns his own dental practice. This is very important. Otherwise, advice is theoritical. Unfortunately, the orthodontic profession is filled with coaches who are former orthodontic assistants who offer entertaining Cinerella-isms about practice management without any business experience or education whatsoever. In my 21 years of orthodontic practice, I have heard every orthodontic coach speak numerous times. I truly beleive that the orthodontic profession does not have any coach as good as Gary Takacs. What I respect about Gary Takacs most is his great attitude, love of learning, experience, and the fact that he has read over 500 hundred business books! I also feel that he has good life values and noble goals. I like honesty about the recession. The recession is real. It is not business as usual or as it has been in the good days of the early 2000 s. Any coach who gives advice and does not acknowledge the recession is out of touch. Gary Takacs has managed to successfully manage the wave of the recession and that is impressive. I like the fact that Gary Takacs has a conservative, successful boutique practice of 6 team members, one doctor, working 4 days a week with a 50% overhead. Gorczyca Orthodontics has 5 team members, one doctor, 48% overhead working 3 days a week. Yet, in the orthodontic profession and probably in the dental profession, a lot of coaches are proud to show these gigantic factory offices with huge teams and in the end, the overhead is 85%! What’s the point? I like that fact that Gary Takacs in a clear way makes profitablity a goal and key success indicator. The 6 goals are excellent. I agree 100% that a high performance team that you truly love is #1 because without that, everything else is more difficult or impossible to acheive. TGIM is a great attitude and a great way to start the week. Incorporating whitening TODAY and making it a core element is great advice. We have done this in our orthodontic practice per the advice of Gary Takacs and I hope this is something that I will be able to help general dentists continue with in my community. Dentistry is a team sport. In our orthodontic practice, everytime we start a new case we high five and say Score! Teamwork is hard work. It takes a lot of leadership skill and often courage. In our orthodontic practice, we literally followed the book The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team every excercise, every scenerio like a play book. Like magic, it weeded out voluntarily the unengaged . We also greatly appreciate the advice of Coach K and his writings and follow that. I’m happy to report my team is A to A+. It has taken a lot of hard work to get to this point. I’m very interested to hear the next show on this topic!Gary Takacs is the real deal when it comes to dental practice management. He is the best coach I’ve heard the in dental industry. Best wishes for a ROCKIN 2012!

Hello Thedezireeshow,This might be off topic, however, In order to flunat a gorgeous smile one should have dazzling teeth. Most celebrities are undergoing this process to enhance their look but it is always advisable to consult a good dentist before performing this process. Although there is a great hype for tooth whitening but most people are clueless about its various nuances. There are still many questions hovering around people’s mind about its effectiveness and side effects.Nice One! http://jathqrmhsz.com vpytsniqa [link=http://hzjxcc.com]hzjxcc[/link]

Talk to your doctor – he knows. use dental floss, or, as it is called, floss. The toothbrush cleans only open the surface of teeth, and in fact destroy the microbes in dental enamel and intervals. For recently appeared and has become a popular brush for language – a very useful little thing. But Mouthwashes – a piece of concern. If teeth are not cleaned by mechanical means, rinsing will not help.

A huge number of toothbrushes different in appearance and methods of use have been submitted to the choice of consumers. But this is not the limit. Scientists of the Japanese company Panasonic has developed yet another representative of this family. New dental electrobrushes has a video camera, located between the vibrating bristles. According to the magazine New Scientist, the image is transferred from the camcorder to the big screen that allows users to clearly see the remaining food particles in tight spaces.

And recently it became known that the therapeutic waves may return people who have lost teeth, healthy smile. Engineers of the Canadian University of Alberta, which for some time studied the effect of ultrasound on the damaged teeth and jaw tissue of animals, have developed a new ultrasonic device. The scientists succeeded in using ultrasound stimulation of the damaged area to build up a broken piece of tooth in the rabbit.
Chemical bleaching of teeth - the pros and cons
07-09-2009
What is the chemical method of tooth whitening? It is based on the ability of atomic (active) oxygen to initiate the oxidation processes that convert the binary compounds of carbon C = C (determine the degree of pigmentation) in single, less pigmented. As a result of the tooth (s) are perceived as more white. As a source of active oxygen in the currently most often used carbamide peroxide. In the past few years there is evidence that the most effective and safe means of so-called whitening of the dead (already had a root) of teeth is only sodium perborate used without hydrogen peroxide.
